The 2020 Harrogate Advertiser Excellence in Business Awards took place last night via an online ceremony hosted by BBC Look North anchor, Harry Gration MBE. Local businesses from the Harrogate area were invited to enter these prestigious industry awards for innovation in the region.
Signa Technologies Ltd, a Knaresborough based company, were selected as finalists for the Technical & Digital Development award that looked at what technical or digital developments companies use which have harnessed innovation within their business and given them an edge in the market.
Signa Technologies Ltd, created by husband and wife team, Martyn and Julie Boswell, started offering fixed wireless broadband services in 2016.
Since then the company has doubled its turnover year-on-year with continued growth and in 2017 the company become operators of Moorsweb, which supplies superfast broadband to remote rural communities in the North Yorkshire Moors.
In 2019, Signa began rolling out a Gigabit capable network offering existing customers broadband packages of 100Mbps up to 1Gbps.
Signa also supplies over 20 holiday parks, with superfast wireless services for their businesses and customers.
Signa entered this category because it utilises its expertise in the telecommunications field to bring the best service to its customers.
Julie Boswell, operations director said “we were genuinely surprised at winning the award when we saw the calibre of the other local businesses we were up against in our category.
