Signa Technologies has been shortlisted for the Digital and Technology Development Award for the third year running. The award seeks out businesses that harness technology to give their companies an edge, and understanding of how the world of business has changed in the 21st century.
Working in both the community broadband arena as the operators of Moorsweb, which provides superfast and now ultrafast broadband services to rural communities across the North Yorkshire Moors, and in the holiday home and park arena, providing business broadband for the owners and WiFi services to their customers on the parks, Signa certainly have to be a step ahead of the advances in technologies and demands of their customers.
Earlier on in 2019, Signa announced that they would be upgrading a large portion of the Moorsweb network to become gigabit capable through the Government’s Gigabit Voucher Scheme (GBVS). Signa have been busy rolling out this new network and reached its first milestone of providing a Gigabit link to the Lion Inn at Blakey Ridge, right in the heart of the Moors. So far 12 businesses and several residential properties have taken up the new service and a further 40+ businesses and 100+ residents will be provided with the service throughout 2020.
Julie Boswell, Operations Director at Signa said “we have another exciting year ahead for the company in terms of growth and new markets. With the new network we can also offer other services such as integrated CCTV, VoIP and alarm systems all supported by a great local customer service team. To be shortlisted again for this award is amazing and we are really excited for the awards on the 2nd April 2020 at the Harrogate Pavilions”.
